Yage is one of the best German emotive hardcore bands around at the moment. They have released a slew of great records over the years, but Anders Leben!? is their first full length to be released in the USA. Their music is passionate and melodic and many people have compared them to Yaphet Kotto. Anders Leben!? is a bit more polished and refined compared to their earlier releases, but yet the recording maintains their sincerity and enthusiasm for their craft. They fit perfectly on Ebullition with their blend of emotionally charged music and heartfelt lyrics.
Their live show is excellent and they have toured Europe, Japan and the Eastern part of the USA. I was lucky enough to catch them in Europe and they were a breathe of fresh air. The energy, passion, and reckless abandon of their live show reminded me of what made the original crop of explosive emo bands from the early '90s so damn good.
The CD comes in a gatefold jacket, and both formats include booklets with lyrics and writings from Yage.
There is a European version of this LP that was pressed in Germany. The European version looks exactly the same as the US version.
